Overview
Western and Central Finland

The well known gold and base metals belts seen in Sweden, (e.g. the Skelleftea belt, home to the famous Boliden Mine, and newer discoveries such as Agnico Eagle / Gold Sky’s Barsele Gold Project) continue along the same crustal structure across the Gulf of Bothnia into Finland where it is known as the Raahe – Ladoga Suture Zone. Gemdale considers the Finnish extension of this gold belt into western Finland (northern Ostrobothnia) to be very underexplored and highly prospective for significant new discoveries. Such new discoveries include Gemdale’s flagship Pontio Gold Project, where over 10,000m of diamond drilling to date has outlined a substantial sized advanced target. Also in the belt is Gemdale’s Isoneva Gold Project, where Gemdale and its partner, Nordique Resources, is chasing the source of high-grade gold boulders, building on significant early stage exploration work already completed over the past few years by Gemdale and previous Companies. Gemdale is also involved in exploration for critical metals, and is seeking JV partners for its Nuotti copper-PGM-nickel project in western / central Finland where initial drilling by the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK), has established the presence of significant near surface copper-PGM mineralization.
Lapland
In Lapland (northern Finland, north of the Arctic Circle), Gemdale has a number of earlier stage projects prospective for both gold and critical metals, such as copper, cobalt and nickel. It is in Lapland that most of the recent exploration focus by international mining and exploration companies has been over the past few years. The district, centred on the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt, is home to Europe’s largest gold mine, Agnico Eagle’s Kittila Mine, Anglo American’s world class Sakatti copper-nickel-PGM project, and also Rupert Resources’ newly discovered Ikkari gold project, where more than 4 million ounces of gold have been found. Gemdale is working on multiple projects in the same district.
Southeast Finland
In southeast Finland, Gemdale has an application in process for an Exploration Permit at Rantasalmi, where substantial earlier geological work had outlined a near surface resource of ~300,000 oz Au at grades of 2 to 3 g/t Au.
